๐๏ธ Refurb of new Coloscopy department at Orpington Hospital
Our team delivered the refurbishment and formation of a new Colposcopy department at Orpington Hospital on behalf of Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust.
The project included a redesigned and refurbished reception area that would improve patient processing with two consulting rooms, a dirty utility room to collect, store and process contaminated items, office spaces and storage areas.
Our team managed this project from brief to completion, working closely with the client on the design, working drawings, and coordination, ensuring a functional and patient-focused environment within the existing hospital infrastructure.

We were commissioned to design two sensitively crafted extensions to the Grade II listed main building of The Ravensbourne School in Bromley. These provided them with a much-needed space for a new classroom and dance studio.
Our approach carefully respected the historic character of the building, working closely with the Councilโs Conservation Officer to ensure all interventions were sympathetic and compliant.
This project demonstrates our expertise in balancing modern educational requirements with the careful stewardship of historic buildings.

๐๏ธ Refurbishment at Guyโs & St Thomasโ Hospitals
We delivered a series of refurbishment projects in various public areas across Guyโs and St Thomasโ Hospitals in London.
At Guyโs, we implemented the hospitalโs wayfinding system in the main entrance and lift lobby areas, alongside the replacement of the adjacent main fire doors.
At St Thomasโ, work included the basement corridor leading to the PET Centre, as well as the third-floor corridor and toilet block.
These projects were delivered from the brief to completion, encompassing design, working drawings, scope of work documentation, sanitary schedules, and contract administration, thus ensuring that each refurbishment stage was carefully coordinated and fully compliant with the operational requirements of both hospitals and minimising disruption.

๐๏ธ Woodlands for Little Barn Owls Nurseries in Faygate, West Sussex
We were appointed to deliver a new nursery building for 120 children of 400m2, using Modern Methods of Construction to meet both a tight budget and an ambitious programme.
The design responds to the needs of young users by creating a stimulating, child-friendly environment that connects seamlessly with the outdoors.
The new cabins are arranged in a U-shape to form a sheltered terrace, with a mature tree as a central focal point, visually and physically linking the building to the garden.
Timber cladding was introduced on the most prominent elevations to enhance the character of the scheme and provide a warm, high-quality appearance.
Our commission covered RIBA Stages 2, 3 and 4, along with on-site support during construction, including the review of the manufacturerโs working drawings.
Two existing timber frame buildings were carefully integrated into the masterplan and repurposed as a workshop and a play barn, maximising the value of existing assets.

Brouard Architects undertook the feasibility study for a world-leading centre dedicated to the research and treatment of nervous system diseases. The 5,900 mยฒ project comprised laboratories, offices, and teaching facilities arranged in two distinct volumes connected by a glazed atrium, which served as a central circulation spine.
The study included comprehensive feasibility analysis and a 3D model to explore spatial, functional, and operational strategies. The project established a clear framework for a cutting-edge clinical and research environment, emphasizing connectivity, collaboration, and future adaptability.

We offered a full architectural service for the delivery of a fitness centre extension, built directly above their existing changing rooms.
With the limited space on the site, our design makes efficient use of a steel post structure to support the new building, maximising the available area while maintaining the functionality of the existing facilities.
The extension provides a modern, well-equipped fitness centre that enhances the schoolโs sports provision without compromising their day-to-day operations.
