Jhonnatan Jaramillo

Jhonnatan joined WS Planning & Architecture as an Architectural Assistant (Part 2) in 2015. He qualified as an Architect in 2020 and registered with the ARB, Architect’s Registration Board and RIBA, Royal Institute of British Architects. He became Associate Director in 2022 then promoted to Architectural Director in 2025.

Jhonnatan heads the Architectural Team and has overall responsibility for their output. This involves overseeing and being directly involved in projects from Preparation & Brief through to their conclusion. His role extends to the construction phase, including responsibility as Principal Designer and Contract Administrator. He recently completed the Principal Designer RIBA Course (CDM Regulations & Building Regulations) which is applied on a variety of projects including one-off houses to larger developments.

Jhonnatan gained his MArch from London Metropolitan University, having gained his BA (Hons) from the University of East London. In 2010 and 2013, Jhonnatan won scholarships to a project to help slum dwellers in Indonesia and Nigeria, focusing on the power of a community taking the prime role as activists for redevelopment. Jhonnatan also undertook his RIBA Part 3 course through London Metropolitan University.

Jhonnatan is a keen advocate of driving sustainable architecture solutions and embraces the changes needed to meet the stringent industry requirements for tackling climate change. He leads the WS Work Experience and Apprenticeships Programmes and hopes to influence his passion on to the talents of the future that will shape the world we live in.

Originally from Colombia, Jhonnatan grew up in North London. He is a keen supporter of Arsenal Football Club, likes to keep fit and spending time with his young family.
